Canada’s Next Top Model
Now that America’s Next Top Model is over and I watched all the past seasons, I’ve been watching Canada’s Next Top Model. There are lots of differences but I guess ANTM has evolved a lot too. I noticed with both that the judges switch around quite a bit. I wonder why that is. It’s more noticable with CNTM because the lead changed from Season 1 to 2. I’m now at Season 2 and I’m not really sure what season they’re at now and if the show is still running. I’ll have to do some research when I run out of shows to watch again…
Overall I’m liking Canada’s next top model. Something is a bit lackluster with the models and I’m not always happy with the winners but that’s how it always is. I like the photo shoots and fashion most. I think as the seasons progress it will get better and better. I approve.
Amusement Points: 7/10.

It is good to know that you watch the Next Top Model. You watched the US version and now the Canadian version. But do you think such events make any difference in the life of the participants.. I don’t think so. The model selected as the TOP will have to begin the regular grilling in the industry to get some work and all those things. Or maybe it will gove a platform to the upcoming models.
I think it makes a difference to all the contestants, whether it be good or bad. Some people find that modeling isn’t for them but wouldn’t have known otherwise because it’s hard to get to the stages that these girls are thrown onto.
I do agree that the TOP one doesn’t have it made… They need to do other work to be taken seriously. Again, you’re correct that it’s just a platform to get models noticed and give them some feedback and experience. The rest is up to them. I guess it becomes a philosophical question then, do they experience this then change? ~ or does the experience change them? ^^ Some people make no changes based on their experiences and go back to whatever it is they did before.
Either way, it’s a show and made for amusement. What the models do after is up to them and there’s now been about 100+ models to pass through the US cycles alone so it’s a mixed bag.
