Cosplay Lab

Published by yokoshima at 8:48 pm under Cosplay Sites Edit This

One of my favorite websites for cosplay has been http://www.cosplaylab.com. It’s been around for 7 years so far and has thousands of members. It has a few features that set it apart, along with friendly members, relevant news, and contests.

The front page shows cosplay news from all over the world. Every month there is a look-alike contest for a selected anime character. Members can enter the contest by submitting a photo of themself as the featured character.

My favorite part about the site is making profiles/a roster of all my costumes. It’s hard to keep up with myself but I have most of my costumes listed on there. It also allows you to make notes on the costs, amount of time, and other construction notes. By browsing around you can get a good feel of the range of costs and time involved. Some take a few hours to complete and others may take hundreds of dollars and weeks to complete. You can also search costumes by member, character, or series to find the thousands of costumes shown on this site. I look at it as a database of cosplay. :)
