Graphic Design = Good Times
I’m up to too much as always. ;)
Today I worked on a logo for a local company. I’m providing the logo in uncolored lines and in color. That way they can make 1-color screen printed t-shirts as well as business cards and web use. I’d like to do more graphic design work so this will be great for my portfolio.
I will need to switch gears and sew some more. I can’t wait to start knocking the older projects out. Robbi and Zhae’s are almost finished. In the background I’m also working on some legwarmers to go with my clothing line. I doubt I’ll have time to make myself a halloween costume this year but that’s ok; I never make halloween costumes. I just make costumes. :D
Being able to do graphic design is a bit of fresh air. I hope to be able to do some art for myself too. The economy is such a wreck I must be money driven for survival so the highest paying projects win. Also it’s a struggle because working from home means work and relaxation meld together and there is no separation or definition. It can be that I never really rest. :O
I wish I had Photoshop CS3 like I used to have at my last job. I have a really cool magazine from the UK that teaches some photoshop techniques. There’s some different tools used in the tutorials I don’t have. I guess eventually I’ll get it and I’m creative with my use of Photoshop so I never really use what I’m supposed to anyhow. I got the magazine at Costco and it’s called something like “Photoshop Collective”. If you have a Costco card you should go check it out. It even comes with a CD of stock images, vectors, tutorials, and brushes. B) I like brushes; brushes are rad. I heard you can make your own brushes but I’m too lazy BUSY for that. :( If you guys have sources for brushes do share. Fonts are fun too. Speaking of which my fonts seem to have disappeared so I have to reboot and leave you all ~~~ till next time!

Good luck with all that! Pray that get a blog gig at VH1 also.
